Anne Duisabeau, Class of 59, elected President of France Bois Forรชt
At the Board of Directors meeting on June 18, 2024, France Bois Forรชt members unanimously elected Anne Duisabeau as the new President of the national forestry and timber interprofession for a 3-year term.
Anne Duisabeau, currently a consultant, followed a career path in the wood industry. Immediately after completing her training, she joined the panel sector within the Swiss Krono group, where she held a number of different positions, from wood purchasing to general management of the group's French subsidiary.
Anne Duisabeau expressed her thanks to the directors for their confidence in her, and praised the remarkable work carried out by her predecessor Jean-Michel Servant and his Board of Directors, which has enabled a collective effort to emerge on important and structuring themes for the industry.
For Anne Duisabeau, in the face of obvious climate change, the industry must respond to today's major challenges:
๐ Renewing and adapting forests weakened by climate change,
๐ Meet the growing demand for wood, while enhancing and diversifying uses and structuring territories,
๐ Strengthen the capabilities of companies in the sector,
๐ Promote the circular economy of wood as a renewable, high-performance carbon storage material,
๐ Raise public awareness of the industry's role and challenges...
To carry out this mission, Anne Duisabeau is calling for the collaboration and commitment of all members of the industry to carry this common message.
