Environmental crisis, post-growth and the role of engineers and scientists

The training of engineers and scientists and the challenges posed by the ecological transition: how to accommodate, cushion and remedy post-growth trends?

A talk by Alain Grandjean (green finance expert and co-founder with Jean-Marc Jancovici of Carbone 4) and Damien Amichaud ("ClimatSup INSA" project leader at the Shift Project) will introduce the subject.

"As an engineer or scientist, a young graduate or an experienced professional, how can we live with, or even resolve, the tension between the business economy as we understand it?How can I, as an engineer or scientist, young graduate or experienced professional, cope with the tension between the business economy as we understand it in our Western societies, and the post-growth economy faced with a world of finite resources? ".

The debate to follow will welcome our 2 speakers:

• Luc Saint Bonnet: CEO of Cerience, a 250-employee SME in the agri-food sector.
• Christophe Delayre: manager of Luce, a small business specializing in wooden packaging.
• Laurent Guidat: department manager at Bouygues Energies et Services.
• Young Centrale Nantes graduates
